The Auxiliary Communications Working Group (AUXCOMM WG) is a designated group of communications volunteers and related personnel with extensive experience in public safety communications. The group serves as subject-matter experts to the Michigan Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board (MPSCIB).

The Southeast Urban Area Security Initiative Work Group is regrouping and managing a transition from a major focus on technology purchase and implementation to a greater emphasis on procedures and exercises. In conjunction with that effort the work group is discussing ways to disseminate interoperable communications information and implement recommended changes throughout the six county region with 65 PSAPs and numerous police, fire, EMS and ancillary organizations involved in those communications.
