Father Marquette National Memorial
Father Marquette National Memorial
The Father Marquette National Memorial, located in the west unit of Straits State Park, is closed for construction through July of 2026. The memorial is a part of a larger collaborative project that will reimagine the memorial and recenter interpretation around the thriving Anishinaabe people, whose history provides context to Father Marquette's experiences in the region.
We apologize for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
