Join us to celebrate Black Bottom Street View, a new temporary exhibit at the Michigan History Museum. On loan from the Black Bottom Archives, the exhibit brings to life Detroit's Black Bottom neighborhood through panoramic, free-standing murals. Visitors can walk through the neighborhood as it was in 1949-1950 before the City of Detroit razed it for redevelopment and highway projects.

The event will include a 1 p.m. panel discussion about the history of the neighborhood and its legacy in Detroit and contemporary culture.

Attend the event and check out the rest of the museum free of charge! There will be no admission fee for the duration of the day.
