Father Marquette National Memorial Visitor Information

Please allow about one hour to take in the national memorial, a 15-station outdoor interpretive trail and panoramic views of the Mackinac Bridge. The park also offers camping, picnicking, hiking and other seasonal activities.

The Father Marquette National Memorial is closed for the season.
Admission and parking
There is no additional charge to visit the memorial; however, a Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to Straits State Park. Parking is available in a lot adjacent to the Memorial.

The Father Marquette National Memorial stamp for the Passport To Your National Parks® program is located at the contact station in Straits State Park.

Photography
Personal photography without flash for private use is permitted in the museum and on the grounds. Photographs may not be published, sold or otherwise distributed for commercial purposes.
Photography for weddings and other special events is allowed on the grounds and in the Memorial during regular open hours with advance permission. Please contact us in advance to schedule a time.
Accessibility
This site is accessible to people of all mobility levels. Service animals are always welcomed.
Pets
Pets accompanied by and under the control of their human friends are welcome on the grounds of this site. Pets may not enter any building. For more information, view the Department of Natural Resources Pet-Friendly Rules.
