What is an Employee Resource Group?
Employee resource groups (ERGs) serve as communities within the MSP where department members with common interests or backgrounds bring their collective voices together to drive change, create new opportunities and help inspire each other. These employee-created and -led groups support our goal of building a department culture that values trust, transparency, and individual contributions that inspires the confidence of department members, the public, and our stakeholders.
ERGs provide a support system within the MSP to foster awareness, respect, and inclusion at our worksites and within the communities we serve. Becoming involved in an ERG provides opportunities for member development, education and training, and community outreach.
Current ERGs include:
- African American
- American Indian
- Asian Pacific Islander American
- Diverse Abilities
- MSP P.R.I.D.E. (Professionals Respecting the Identities of Everyone)
- MSP Military Veteran
- Women Leading Change
