The Michigan State Police Photo Lab Unit serves as the department's central repository for all photographic images to include: employee portraits and identification cards, historical department photos, and crime scene images.
Additionally, the Photo Lab Unit is responsible for photographing special events and creating various graphic art projects for the department. The Photo Lab Unit also maintains and distributes crime scene images, as well as manages the Digital Crime Scene Repository (DCSR) and the DCSR Mobile Application.
Our number one priority is to maintain the integrity of crime scene images.
