Michigan Civil Rights Commission to Meet in Detroit on Monday, January 22

Lansing, MI—The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will hold their first quarterly meeting of 2024 on Monday, January 22, at 10 AM in the Cadillac Place Building, Suite L-150, 3054 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, Michigan 48202.
Commissioners are expected to nominate and elect officers for 2024 at the January 22 meeting. The full proposed agenda can be found below. The Commission may revise this agenda or take up other issues as needed and time allows.
The meeting is open to the public and will include a public comment period. ASL Interpreters and CART captioning will be provided. The location is accessible and paid parking is available nearby.
The meeting will be livestreamed to the MDCR Facebook page at Facebook.com/MIDCR.
The Michigan Civil Rights Commission was created by the Michigan Constitution to safeguard constitutional and legal guarantees against discrimination. The Commission is charged with investigating alleged discrimination against any person because of religion, race, color or national origin, genetic information, sex, age, marital status, height, weight, arrest record, and physical and mental disability. The Michigan Department of Civil Rights serves as the operational arm of the Commission.
