The books listed are in the print and microforms collections of the Library of Michigan; some, if not all, can also be found in various digital collections. This is a selected list only; other historical case reporters, indexes, and statutory compilations can be discovered through a visit to the State Law Library.
Also included is a selected list of 19th and early 20th century Michigan legal treatises. Consulting a treatise is useful in understanding and interpreting the law of the past. Again, this is not an exhaustive list, nor does it reference every edition of a treatise, but is representative of the range of topics covered by the Library’s collection.
