Codes and Standards Order Form  
This form is used to order Rules and/or Public Acts.  To order code books, please follow the directions listed below.

The 2009 Michigan Building/Residential, Rehabilitation and Energy Code Rules were filed with the Secretary of State on November 8, 2010, and become effective March 9, 2011.

To purchase code books from the International Code Council (ICC) 

Beginning July 1, 2011, tax will be charged to all customers who have not submitted the proper paperwork indicating you are tax exempt.  If your organization is exempt from paying sales tax, please send a signed, dated copy of your current certificate made out to the International Code Council.  Send an email to taxexemptcert@iccsafe.org or fax to (708) 799-4981.  If you need to reach them by phone, you may contact them at (888) 422-7233 ext. 33816.

The Bureau has coordinated the sale of the 2009 Michigan Building Code, 2009 Michigan Mechanical Code, 2009 Michigan Plumbing Code, 2009 Michigan Residential Code, 2009 Michigan Rehabilitation Code,  2009 Michigan Uniform Energy Code and the 2008 National Electrical Code with the International Code Council (ICC). Customers will be able to purchase code books directly from ICC at the Michigan member prices indicated.

To purchase the code books from the Bureau of Construction Codes 

The Bureau accepts cash, checks, or money orders only. 

A limited inventory of the 2009 Michigan Building, 2009 Michigan Residential, 2009 Michigan Mechanical, 2009 Michigan Plumbing, 2009 Michigan Rehabilitation, and 2009 Michigan Uniform Energy Codes is available at the Okemos office, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan for on-site pick-up. A limited inventory of the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) is available at the Okemos office for on-site pick-up. The 2008 NEC with a complete copy of the Michigan Part 8 rules may be purchased at the Okemos office at a cost of $85.00. Customers should contact the office at 517-241-9313 to assure the availability of books. The Bureau will not ship books to fill orders. 

A limited inventory of the 2006 codes is available at the Okemos office, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan for on-site pick-up. Customers may contact the office at 517-241-9313 to assure the availability of books. The Bureau will not ship books to fill orders.
