A Statehood Day Celebration

Saturday
January 23, 2010
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing

Photo shows visitors enjoying hands-on crafts in the Michigan Historical Museum atrium.

Crafts are always a part of the Michigan Historical Museum's Statehood Day celebration.

Statehood Day 2010 honors the 173rd birthday of the Great Lakes State. On January 26, 1837, Michigan joined the Union as the nation's 26th state.

Our Statehood Day celebration gathers together crafters, musicians and activities for the entire family. We'll post more event details in the late fall, so please visit this page again.

Come early! The first 100 visitors enjoy a piece of birthday cake.

This event is free of charge. For more information, please send us an e-mail or telephone (517) 373-3559, TDD (517) 373-1592.

A Statehood Day Celebration is sponsored by the:

Friends of Michigan History
