Washington, D.C. Office
The Washington, D.C. Office of Governor Jennifer M. Granholm serves to represent the State of Michigan and Governor Granholm in Washington, D.C. Interns are expected to engage in the fast-pace environment of our small office while working closely with staff on issues arising from the legislative calendar. Interns also must be able to attain a firm grasp on the issues at hand (any advanced or specialized academic work on an issue will be taken into consideration).
This sixteen week program begins on January 11, 2010 and concludes on April 30, 2010. Participants work a part or full-time schedule (16hrs a week min), and may be eligible to earn school credit for their participation. The Office of Governor Jennifer M. Rolling Admissions Policy
The Michigan Leadership Development Committee reviews all applications for the Winter-Spring 2010 Executive Office Internship Program on a rolling basis. As soon as we recieve your completed application, we review it. This
means that the program may fill prior to the published application deadline of December 30, 2009. Consequently, we encourage you to apply as early as possible. Candidates will be notified as to the status of their application (whether they will be invited to interview or not) after their submissions have been processed. After completion of candidate interviews, invitations to join the Executive Office Internship Program will be extended.
