Qualifications for Master Plumber License
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Two years experience as a journey plumber.
•Must pay the examination fee and pass the examination.
•Must pay the license fee.

Qualifications for Journey Plumber License
•Must be at least 18 years of age.

•Has not less than 3 years experience as an apprentice in the practical installation of plumbing under the supervision of a licensed authorized master plumber. (Up to one year of credit may be provided for graduation from a recognized trade school.)
•Must pay the examination fee and pass the examination.
•Must pay the license fee.

The exam site and parking are accessible. Individuals attending the exam are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products, in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. Please make sure all cell phones, pagers and other personal elecronic devices are turned off or set to vibrate. People with disabilities requiring additional services (such as materials in alternative format) should contact the Plumbing Division at 517-241-9330 at least 10 work days before the event.
