Electrical Administrative Board Responsibilities and Meeting Schedule


The Electrical Administrative Board was created by 1956 PA 217. The board makes recommendations for electrical code rules; grants annual licenses and certificates to qualified applicants; and make all orders, rules, and regulations necessary for the enforcement and carrying out of the provisions of the act.

The board members are appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate to serve 3-year terms. Upon expiration of a term, a member may continue to serve until a successor is appointed.

2008 Board meetings are held at 2501 Woodlake Circle, Conference Room 3, 1st floor, Okemos at 9:30 a.m. on the following dates:

Friday, February 1, 2008 - Board Packet
Friday, April 4, 2008 - Cancelled
Friday, June 13, 2008 - Cancelled
Friday, August 1, 2008 - Board Packet
Friday, October 3, 2008
Friday, December 5, 2008

The meeting site and parking are accessible. Individuals attending the meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products, in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. Please make sure all cell phones, pagers and other personal electronic devices are turned off or set to vibrate. People with disabilities requiring additional services (such as materials in alternative format) in order to participate in the meeting should call the Electrical Division at 517-241-9320 at least 10 work days before the event.
