Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council
The Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act) says each State Council on Developmental Disabilities must submit a five-year plan to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities in the state.
Council members recently voted to approve a draft for a new five-year state plan that will begin October 1, 2026, and end on September 30, 2031. The DD Act requires that the Council give the public forty-five (45) days to review and provide comments on the plan.
The public comment period is from May 26, 2026 through July 11, 2026.
