Join a naturalist for a casual stroll through one of our state parks or local historic areas. For each stroll, we’ll focus on a topic related to natural or cultural history. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather – we’ll go out rain, snow or shine!
In April, enjoy a guided hike exploring the sights, sounds and smells of spring along the Detroit Riverfront while celebrating Earth Day! We'll meet at the front door of the Outdoor Adventure Center, then head across the street to wander through Milliken State Park. The trail is generally level and well-paved, and the entire loop is about 1 mile. Keep your eyes and ears open for one of our resident pheasants! A limited number of binoculars are available to borrow for the hike.This is a free outdoor event. Regular admission fees apply for building access.
