Group Adventures

These adventures are designed for small groups of fewer than 30 people.

Pricing

$90 per session. This includes admission to the Outdoor Adventure Center for all participants and one instructor-led program (listed below).

Registration

Preregistration is required – please allow at least seven days for it to be processed. You will be contacted if your request is approved.

Times offered: Wednesday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. (all instructor-led programs are approximately one hour).

Group size

  • Archery: eight to 12 participants (ages 8 or older).
  • Fishing: 10 to 25 participants (ages 8 or older).
  • Nature walk: 10 to 25 participants.
  • Classroom session: 10 to 30 participants (ages 12 or older).
    • Story of the Sturgeon: Learn why lake sturgeon are called “living fossils.” Hear the story of these long-lived giants of the Detroit River – what makes them unique, why their numbers declined and what is being done to bring them back.
    • Vampires of the Great Lakes: Did you know there is an invasive "vampire" living in the Great Lakes? Come hear the story of the most destructive invasive species to enter the Great Lakes and what has been done to remove them.
