Registration is Now Open for the Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township 4th Annual Heroic Veterans Walk, Run & Roll

LANSING, Mich. — Registration is now open for the Michigan Veteran Homes at Chesterfield Township (MVHCT) Heroic Veterans Walk, Run & Roll 5K and 0.5-Mile Walk at MVHCT Heroic Walk, Run & Roll. The event will occur on June 7, 2025 on the campus of the Home at 47901 Sugarbush Rd., Chesterfield Township. The 0.5-Mile Walk will begin at 9 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 10:15 a.m. Following the event, community members, staff, volunteers and families are invited to join the Home for a hot dog luncheon.

Registration for the 5K Walk/Run is $30 while the 0.5-Mile Walk is $25 and each registration includes a complimentary t-shirt. All proceeds from the race support the MVH Charitable Support Fund which funds quality of life programming and initiatives for veteran members. The Home is also seeking race day volunteers to help with the race. Some roles include Chariot Pushers, Remembrance Walk Veteran Escorts, Registration Check-In, Water Station, Course Marshall, Finish Line Medal Presenter, Silent Auction Helper, Shuttle Stop Volunteers, Crosswalk Crossing Guard and volunteers to help set up and tear down lunch. “We’re really excited to host our 4th Annual Heroic Veterans Walk, Run and Roll to benefit the veteran members of MVHCT,” said Tiffany Carr, community engagement coordinator for Michigan Veteran Homes. “We have plenty of volunteer opportunities available including supporting our partner The Agape Project which will provide ten chariots for teams of four to push our heroes across the finish line. It’s an incredible way to honor our nation’s heroes. There are also sponsorships available along with opportunities to donate towards the silent auction.”
