Purses With a Purpose - Metro South

The Michigan State Police Metro South Post is gathering new purses and bags filled with comfort items to benefit survivors of sexual assault. Suggested items include full-size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving supplies, deodorant and body lotion), feminine hygiene products, markers, canvas boards (no staples), acrylic paint and paint brushes, coloring books, playing cards, baby wash, diapers and wipes. 

Donations are being accepted through April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, at the MSP Metro South Post.

The purses stuffed with items will be distributed to Vista Maria, A Girl Like Me, and local domestic abuse shelters to benefit survivors of sexual and domestic assault.
