$22,500 Donation Received by the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument
April 5, 2018
We are pleased to announce that the Sam Bernstein Law Firm has donated $7,500 to the Memorial Monument Fund. The First Family of Law joins members of the Michigan business community who have provided generous contributions in support of this project.
With the state’s current two-to-one matching grant the donation totals $22,500.
“The Commission appreciates receiving a donation from this prominent firm," said John Szczubelek, assistant attorney general and chairperson of the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund Commission. "This is yet another way the Bernstein family has demonstrated its commitment to serving the people of our state.”
The Commission asks residents and businesses to consider donating to support the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument. Tax deductible donations can be made online by visiting www.mleom.org.
The Michigan Legislature created the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Monument Fund 12 years ago to oversee the financing, design, and construction of a permanent memorial monument to honor the approximately 600 Michigan law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
