Board Activity
The Board's scheduled public meetings will be held at its Detroit office located in the Cadillac Place at 3062 West Grand Boulevard, Suite L-700, Detroit, MI 48202. The meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the staff briefing, followed immediately by the regular agenda items.
The purpose of both the staff briefing and Board meeting is to conduct Board business regarding the implementation, administration and enforcement of the provisions of the Michigan Gaming Control & Revenue Act, as amended, Public Act 69 of 1997, MCL 432.201, et seq ("The Act") relating to the licensing, regulation and conduct of casino gaming in the City of Detroit.

Executive Director Henry Williams
With 24 years of gaming industry experience, Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) Executive Director Henry Willliams is the regulator of one of the fastest-growing U.S. gaming markets. Under his direction, MGCB staff implement and enforce the provisions of the law related to the three Detroit casinos—MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown. The agency also licenses and regulates iGaming and sports betting operators, platform providers, suppliers, and fantasy contests; regulates pari-mutuel horse racing and casino-style charitable gaming (Millionaire Parties); and audits tribal gaming compact agreements for Michigan’s 12 federally recognized tribes.
Since his appointment in 2021, Williams remains committed to protecting the interests of Michigan’s citizens. In 2023, he launched his “Double Down Michigan” podcast and secured $3 million of annual state budget funding for MGCB’s award-winning “Don’t Regret the Bet” responsible gaming campaign, which aims to prevent Michiganders from developing gambling problems before they start.
Linda Forte
Linda Forte has been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve as Board chair for a term at the pleasure of the governor. She is retired from Comerica, Inc., where she served as the senior vice president of business affairs and chief diversity officer. Forte currently serves as a board member for Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan. A resident of Detroit, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2024.
