Friedland Industries, Inc. Unveils Archimedes of Syracuse Sculpture Donation at Michigan DMVA

LANSING, Mich. — Friedland Industries, Inc., Lansing’s original scrap-recycler, donated Archimedes of Syracuse, a 500 lb. award-winning sculpture featured at Scrapfest 2024 in Old Town, to the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The artists are Kyle Elkins of ELK MetalWorks and Jason Fuentes of the MadSmitty, along with contributions by Tyler Gill and Mike Szajna. The unveiling of the sculpture included remarks by Brig. Gen. Daniel Kramer, assistant adjutant general and commander of the Michigan Air National Guard; Larry Bass, CEO of Friedland Industries, Inc.; and Mike Bass, director of ScrapFest.
