A solicitor may be sponsored for property, casualty, personal lines, limited lines property and casualty, crop, surety and fidelity, travel and/or title qualifications by a licensed resident insurance producer or agency in Michigan. A solicitor may be sponsored by only one active producer or agency at a time and cannot be appointed by the insurance company. A solicitor may solicit or procure applications for insurance ONLY for insurance companies which have appointed the sponsoring producer/agency. A solicitor cannot bind coverage.
