Eligibility

Saving is easy with MET

Eligibility is simple. The individual named as beneficiary of a MET contract must be a Michigan resident.

Parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, businesses and organizations may purchase a MET contract for a beneficiary.

If the purchaser is not a Michigan resident, enrollment in MET may be affected by their state's security laws. MET contracts cannot be purchased by residents of Arizona, Illinois, New York, North Dakota, Ohio and Vermont due to those states' security laws.
