For this ninth annual "Take a Stand Day," the MIOSHA program is dedicating more than 125 professional staff to visit Michigan high-hazard industries targeted by the MIOSHA Strategic Plan. Corporations Division Non-Profit SeminarThe Corporations Division offers a seminar for new nonprofit officers, directors and members which covers a wide variety of topics including director and officers duties and responsibilities, indemnification, charitable solicitations, financing, tax issues, filing requirements and record keeping.
UIA Problem Resolution OfficesAt Problem Resolution Offices (PROs), UIA customer service representatives resolve problems and provide access to automated resources. These offices are located in Alpena, Benton Harbor, Detroit, Gaylord, Grand Rapids, Houghton, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Marquette, Mt. Clemens, Muskegon, Ontonagon, Saginaw, Sault Ste. Marie, and Traverse City.
Department of Insurance and Financial ServicesPreviously known as the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation (OFIR), the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is responsible for regulating Michigan's financial industries, including banks, credit unions, insurance, and mortgage companies.
