broadband mapping

The Michigan Public Service Commission was instrumental in Michigan's success in receiving two federal grants from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration totaling nearly $4.8 million. The grants were awarded December 22, 2009 and September 27, 2010 and are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The purpose of the grants is to launch a comprehensive broadband mapping and planning initiative, Connect Michigan.
