May 17, 2012 -- Contracting crews are returning to Macomb County on Friday, May 18, to resume work on M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) in Clinton Township and Mt. Clemens. Scheduled to begin at noon on Friday, southbound M-3 will have one lane open from Colonial to Wellington-Crescent roads. The reconstruction is part of a two-year, $16 million investment scheduled to be completed by August 2012.
After the Memorial Day holiday, crews will resume resurfacing work on northbound M-3 from Harrington to Kibbee roads, and from Market to Welts streets. During the resurfacing work, two lanes will be open during peak travel times. Northbound M-3 will have a single lane open weeknights and on weekends.
