|The Michigan Energy Office (MEO) promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy resource development to Michigan's residents, businesses and public institutions.

|Public Process for Informing Michigan's Energy Future ContinuesRecently, a series of forums was held around the state, in an effort to gather public input regarding Michigan's energy future. Topics included renewable energy, energy efficiency, the regulatory structure for electricity, and other energy topics. Questions, comments, and any follow-up information regarding this process will be posted at www.michigan.gov/energy.|
Governor Snyder will rely on this information when making his comprehensive recommendations regarding Michigan's energy future in December of 2013. This process will enable policy makers to implement new decisions about our energy framework that will enhance Michigan's adaptability, reliability, affordability and environment.

Michigan Energy Demonstration Centers
The Michigan Energy Office currently supports eight "Michigan Energy Demonstration Centers" located throughout the State. The Michigan Energy Demonstration Centers promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building and sustainable living solutions for Michigan residents and businesses.|
|About UsProgram activities are designed to encourage the use of new technologies and alternative fuels in buildings, industrial processes,vehicles and in power generation. Program objectives are advanced through a variety of services, including information dissemination, technical assistance, financial assistance and demonstration projects. The primary funding source for Michigan Energy Office (MEO) activities is the U.S. Department of Energy. The MEO operates within the Michigan Strategic Fund, a unit of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).|
