Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing, Wide Format Printing and Building Signage Services Available

The Prepress unit offers a wide variety of services. They include: graphic design, desktop publishing, forms design, posters and banners, and building signage.

Graphic Design

Design and layout services are available for any number and type of publication. Examples include: logos, graphics, displays, posters, brochures, books, flyers, annual reports, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and more.

Desktop Publishing Services

Output of customer-created electronic files to either a high-resolution imagesetter, color printer or high-speed xerographic equipment.

Print and Graphic Services has the following software programs in both Macintosh and Windows platforms (when available):

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe PageMaker
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
• QuarkXpress
• CorelDRAW
• MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel)
• Microsoft Publisher

We accept electronic files on floppy disks, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, FTP or via e-mail. Additional information on providing electronic files can be obtained by calling (517) 322-1889.

Wide Format Printing

Print your signs and banners on our digital color wide format printer. This high-quality printer has the capability of printing up to 36" wide with no maximum length. We can output your electronic file(s) or design and create a project for you. Please call (517) 322-1889 if you have questions regarding wide format printing.

Building Signage

Print and Graphic Services provides building signage to all state agencies and departments. Signs are available in a wide array of color and lettering combinations including:

• Almond with burgundy lettering
• Almond with black lettering
• Black with white lettering
• Red with white lettering
• Green with white lettering
• Navy with white lettering
• Royal blue with white lettering
• Teal with white lettering
• Others available upon request

Obtaining signage is as simple as completing a DMB-689a (Sign Order Form). If you're located in a state-owned facility, send the completed form to your facility manager. If you're located in a leased facility, send the completed form directly to DMB, Print and Graphic Services, Prepress Unit, Secondary Complex. The DMB-689a forms are available at no cost from Print and Graphic Services.
