Michigan Climate and Health Adapation Plan

The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) is continuing to address the adverse health impacts of climate change.  MDCH is the recipient of a three-year grant from the Centers for Disease Control to implement its strategic plan  with the goals of:

1) Integrating adaption to climate change into public health practice,

2) providing resources to assist public health agencies in responding to the impacts of climate change, and

3)  incorporating the needs of vulnerable populations in addressing the health impacts of climate change.

MDCH continues to work in partnership with local health departments, universities, other state agencies and non-governmental organizations to ensure these goals are reached in order to protect the health of Michigan's citizens. For more information, visit www.michigan.gov/climateandhealth
