Storm Water Operator Certification
The Water Resources Division of the Department of Environmental Quality administers certification examinations for Storm Water Operators for construction sites and for industrial facilities. These examinations are currently held on a regular basis by the DEQ District Offices. To obtain contact information, training manuals, examination schedules, etc., visit the Storm Water web page.
Certificates are issued and renewed by the Operator Training and Certification Unit. Storm Water Certification is valid for 5 years from the year that it is issued. If your home address or place of employment changes, please update your address with our office within 30 days of the change.
In the year that your certificate expires on July 1, you may apply for renewal beginning in January of that year. Download and complete the Renewal Application, and mail it to the address indicated. Do not fax or email the application; original signatures are required.
