FREE E-FILE - View offers from different software companies to see if you qualify to e-file for free.

The Michigan Department of Treasury is working with software companies to offer FREE online e-file services to qualified Michigan taxpayers. E-file returns are processed faster than paper returns. Please allow 14 days before checking the status of your e-filed return using the Michigan Department of Treasury's "Check My Income Tax Info" Web site.

State-Only FREE e-file Offers Fed/State FREE e-file Offers

To find out if you qualify for FREE or reduced rate e-filing the Michigan Department of Treasury encourages you to review the offers listed on our Web site. In most cases, in order to receive the FREE or reduced offer, you must access the software from the Michigan Taxes Web site by clicking on the links provided.

If you do not qualify for one of the FREE file offers, there are other offers available for a fee.
