SEPG Guidebook 

PURPOSE: The purpose of the SEPG is to facilitate the definition, implementation and improvement of processes utilized of the Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE). The SEPG is a crucial part of the Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) continuing effort to move toward CMMI level 3 compliance. 

GOAL: The goal of the SEPG is to provide a method and vehicle for continuous improvement of software practices, procedures, and processes involved in SUITE. The SEPG also provides communication of improvements of the software practices, procedures, and processes throughout the DTMB organization. 

SCOPE: The SEPG is responsible for the definition, implementation and improvement of the organization's processes. The SEPG is the owner of all associated project processes, forms, checklists, and process assets. The SEPG sets priorities for process improvements, implements approved process improvements, plans continuous process improvement activities, and retains configuration management responsibility for all processes, forms, checklists, and process assets related to SUITE. 

MEETINGS: The SEPG meets bi-weekly to review the status of current improvement initiatives, to review and make decisions on new suggestions for improvement, and to coordinate development processes and improvement activities.
