MARCH 10, 2004

Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will return to Riverview City Hall in Wayne County on March 23 to serve area customers.

The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

The Riverview City Hall is at 14100 Civic Park Drive. Mobile Branch Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We're pleased to make a return visit to Riverview," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office lets us serve customers in all corners of Michigan. This is one more way that we're working harder so you don't have to."

Following its visit to Riverview, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Traverse City. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department's online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
