Merit Email Scam:  An email scam has been brought to our attention by Merit Network, our SOS Election Email System provider.  Some Merit email users may have recently received an email requesting that you provide Merit with your username and password.  The subject of the email message was "UPGRADE YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT."  While the Merit spam/virus filter should have blocked the majority of these messages from getting through, some jurisdictions may have received this communication.  If you receive this email, please disregard it and delete it immediately.

As a matter of policy, Merit never sends out broadcast messages asking users to upgrade their accounts by providing usernames or passwords.
