Donation Education Fund
 

The Michigan Organ & Tissue Donation Education Fund was created in Public Act 502 of 2004. The state treasurer may receive money or other assets from any source for deposit into the fund. The state treasurer manages and disburses the funds received on a monthly basis to the Chronic Disease Division of the Michigan Department of Community Health. They use the money to provide grants for programs and initiatives to encourage Michigan residents to place their names on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry.
