Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at the city of Wixom Community Center parking lot on July 28 – 29 to serve area customers.

The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

The Community Center is at 49015 Pontiac Trail. Mobile Branch Office hours on July 28 are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on July 29.

"The mobile office helps us to reach all corners of Michigan," Land said. "I encourage area residents to take advantage of this opportunity. If you need to do business with us or register to vote, come visit the mobile branch office."

In August, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to Garden City, the State Fair in Detroit, East Lansing and Allendale. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
