YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT THE BOARD OF STATE CANVASSERS WILL MEET ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2003, AT 10:30 A.M. IN ROOM 519 OF THE HOUSE OFFICE BUILDING, SOUTH TOWER, 124 NORTH CAPITOL AVENUE, LANSING, MICHIGAN.

 

Included on the Agenda will be:

  • Notice of meeting and affidavit of posting.

  • Canvass and certification of the November 4, 2003 special election conducted to fill the new judgeship in the 38th District Court (City of Eastpointe, Macomb County).

  • Consideration of initiative petition submitted for approval as to form by Standing Together To Oppose Partial-birth-abortion (STTOP), P.O. Box 901, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49509-0901.

  • Consideration of initiative petition submitted for approval as to form by the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative, 25 Eldredge, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043.

  • Consideration of the Model 100 firmware version 4.76 submitted for approval for use in Michigan with ballots bearing "oval" target areas by Election Systems and Software (ES&S) of Omaha, Nebraska.

  • Consideration of AccuVote OS firmware upgrade version 1.94w submitted for approval for use in Michigan by Fidlar Election Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan (agent for Diebold Election Systems of McKinney, Texas).

  • Consideration of Board policy on notice for meetings.

  • Such other and further business as may be properly presented to the Board.

A person may address the Board on any agenda item at the end of the meeting.  A person who wishes to address the Board on an agenda item at the time the item is being discussed must submit a written request to the Chairperson of the Board prior to the opening of the meeting.  Persons addressing the Board are allotted three minutes.
