Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Wayne County to serve customers in the Livonia area on Oct. 8 – 9.

The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital, 36475 5 Mile Road, Livonia. Mobile Branch Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days.

"We’re always looking for ways to make our services more convenient and accessible," Land said. "The Mobile Branch Office is an excellent tool that lets us reach out to all corners of Michigan. It is a full-service office on wheels."

Following its visit to St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital, the Mobile Branch Office will also be in Jenison, Bloomingdale, and Wayland. It has logged nearly 100,000 miles since it first hit the road six years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
