Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Oakland County to serve customers in the Novi area on Oct. 1 - 5.

The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at the 13th Annual Fall Detroit Camper and RV Show in the Novi Expo Center, 43700 Expo Center Drive. Hours are:

• 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Oct. 1 - 3
• 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. Oct. 4
• 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Oct. 5

"The Mobile Branch Office is an excellent tool that lets us reach out to all corners of Michigan," Land said. "It is in keeping with my goal of making the Department of State more convenient and accessible."

The remainder of the month, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Livonia, Jenison, Bloomingdale, and Wayland. It has logged nearly 100,000 miles since it first hit the road six years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
