In keeping with her commitment to visit all Secretary of State branch offices, Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land visited the Warren Dequindre branch office today to meet with employees and the public.
"These visits help me identify what is working well and what improvements are still needed in our branch offices," Secretary Land said. "As providing good customer service is one of my top priorities, the input from customers and employees is invaluable."
"The high caliber of the staff in the branch offices is encouraging. All of the offices that I have visited have dedicated and talented individuals committed to providing good customer service."
During her visit, Secretary Land touched on plans to achieve improved customer service in part through extended branch office hours and advancements in technology. "We’re exploring extending branch office hours through the use of employee flex time. Moving more of Department of State’s services online is not only more convenient for the public, it is a more cost effective way to deliver services. Technology will play a critical role in providing services as the state manages through these difficult financial times."
Secretary Land visited the Warren Dequindre branch at 28220 Dequindre from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Last year, the branch office processed nearly 231,000 transactions.
