Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Eaton County to serve customers twice in November.

The mobile office will be at the Eaton Rapids Senior Center, 201 Grand St., on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and Thursday, Nov. 2. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It also will assist customers at the Michigan Department of Management and Budget auto auction at 731 N. Canal Road in Delta Township from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago. The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department's online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
