Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Van Buren County to serve customers in the Bloomingdale Township area on Oct. 17 and 18.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to people with disabilities. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer that has logged more than 100,000 miles since it hit the road almost nine years ago.

It will be at the Bloomingdale Township Municipal Center, 109 E. Kalamazoo St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
