Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Calhoun County to serve customers in the Battle Creek area on July 26 - 27.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center, 74 Washington Ave. N. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.

"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Following its visit to Battle Creek, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Riverview, Ravenna, South Lyon and Detroit. The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
