Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Ingham County to serve customers in the Lansing area on July 15.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at the Department of Management and Budget Auto Auction, 731 N. Canal. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"The Mobile Branch Office lets us reach out to all corners of Michigan," Land said. "It reflects our commitment to deliver prompt, convenient service. I encourage area residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Later in the month the Mobile Branch Office will be in Prescott and Battle Creek. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
