JUNE 16, 2006
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Wayne County to serve customers in the Dearborn Heights area on June 28 - 29.
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
It will be at the Berwyn Senior Center, 26155 Richardson on Wednesday, June 28 and at the Eton Senior Center, 4900 Pardee on Thursday, June 29. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.
"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said.
"I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."
Following its visit to Dearborn Heights, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Novi, Northville, Prescott and Battle Creek. The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
