To offer service - so you won't get pulled over!
FEBRUARY 28, 2006
Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at the Allendale campus of Grand Valley State University in Ottawa County on March 2.
The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
The University is at 1 Campus Drive. The mobile office will be in front of the Cook Carillon Tower. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"This is a convenient way for Grand Valley students to take care of business," Land said. "I encourage students and residents who might be leaving on spring break to take advantage of this opportunity. Whether you need to renew your vehicle tabs or register to vote, we can help you out."
Following its visit to Allendale, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Traverse City. The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
