Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be at the Detroit Boat Show in the Cobo Center to serve area customers on Feb. 18 – 26.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is accessible to the disability community. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

Mobile Office hours are:

• 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18
• 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19
• 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, Tuesday, Feb. 21, Thursday, Feb. 23, and Friday, Feb. 24
• 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 25
• 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said. "I encourage Boat Show guests to take advantage of this opportunity."

The Mobile Branch Office has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly nine years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
