Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Oakland County to serve customers in the Wixom area on July 27 - 28.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be in front of the Wixom Community Center Building, 49015 Pontiac Trail. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 28.

"This is a convenient way for area customers to take care of business," Land said. "I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Following its visit to Wixom, the Mobile Branch Office will be at the State Fair in Detroit, and in East Lansing and Battle Creek. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly eight years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
