Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in Ogemaw County to serve customers in the Prescott area on July 20 – 21.

The facility is a full-service Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.

It will be at the Mills Township Hall, 2441 Greenwood Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 21.

"The Mobile Branch Office lets us reach out to all corners of Michigan," Land said. "It reflects our commitment to deliver prompt, convenient service. I encourage area residents to take advantage of this opportunity."

Following its visit to Prescott, the Mobile Branch Office will be in Wixom. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly eight years ago.

Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, license tabs and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site will help customers determine requirements before they go to an office.
