Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land today announced that the Mobile Branch Office will be in the village of Ravenna in Muskegon County on Sept. 22 – 23 to serve area customers.
The facility provides all services found at any Secretary of State branch office and is handicapper accessible. It is hauled statewide on a 24-foot trailer.
The mobile branch will be in the parking lot of Thatcher Park at 3700 Main. Mobile Branch Office hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 22 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 23.
"This is an excellent way for us to reach all corners of Michigan," Land said. "I encourage area residents take advantage of this opportunity."
Following its visit to the village of Ravenna, the Mobile Branch Office will travel to Novi, Bloomingdale and Wayland in October. It has logged more than 100,000 miles since it first hit the road nearly seven years ago.
Land encourages all customers who have Internet access to check out the department’s online services at www.Michigan.gov/sos before visiting any branch office. For example, vehicle license plates and watercraft registrations can be renewed online. Browsing the site also helps customers determine fees and requirements before they go to an office.
